This all started with a conversation about greeting cards. Neither of us really sent cards to people, except when we had to. And this was annoying because the cards said things we didn't really mean, in ways we never would. Also, for a lot of situations in our everyday lives, there weren't any cards that said what we wanted. When we got cards from other people, the contents didn't do anything for us. The sappy ones didn't make us feel much of anything and the "humor" ones didn't make us laugh.

So we starting making cards that we would actually want to send and get. They dealt with the things that happen in our friends' lives and said it in way that felt more real and entertaining than a poem to underline and a picture of a seagull. We made ourselves laugh and starting sending them to friends.

Pretty soon more and more people starting sending them, and wrote us suggesting new cards. So we wrote lots of new cards. Then we set aside some space for people to just post their situations and choose from the answers they got. These made us laugh too.
